Keep your machines running – shift after shift.
Machine Tending robots load raw parts into CNC machines, VMCs, lathes, press brakes, injection moulding machines and presses, and unload finished parts, all without an operator standing at the machine. Spark Robotics designs complete tending cells with part infeed and outfeed stations, grippers, safety guarding and integration with your machine controller. One robot can tend one or several machines, which raises spindle utilisation and supports unattended or lights-out production.
Steady output, shift after shift. A robot loads every part in the same position and at the same pace, so cycle times stay predictable and machines are not left idle waiting for an operator. Double grippers can unload a finished part and load a new one in a single visit, cutting machine idle time even further. The cell can also blow off chips, flip parts for a second operation or place parts on a gauging station between cycles.
Less idle time between cycles, so more output from the same machines.
Operators move from repetitive loading to higher-value tasks.
Run extra shifts and lights-out operation with consistent cycle times.
Accurate, repeatable loading reduces clamping errors and scrap.
Hands stay away from moving machine parts, chips and coolant.
Payback often comes quickly through increased output and labour savings.
